My name is Abbie Wilson. I’m 25 years old and a social worker. I participated in the 13 Stripes Crossfit 12 week wellness challenge. Going into it I was not sure how well it would work for me. At the time I had been doing CrossFit for a while but had not really changed my diet. This program helped me see my weaknesses in fitness and nutrition and gave me a goal to work towards. I learned how to count macros and document my food choices. It helped me to get into a routine of fitness and eating right. During the 12 weeks it seemed as though progress was slow moving. But when the final weight in came, I had lost a significant amount of weight and gained muscle. After this challenge I continued to eat the way I had learned and made even more progress. Since starting CrossFit the summer of 2016, I have lost 40 lbs. total. I would not have come close to this had it not been for the 13 Stripes CrossFit team and community. I am always challenged, encouraged, and supported by the coaches and community.
